Re-imagining the English breakfast

For years, the humble British breakfast has catered to savoury, rather than sweet, tastes.
But for those who always wished their bacon would come with a sugary twist, there's hope on the horizon.

Amateur cook Vicky McDonald has created a new type of traditional breakfast made entirely from dessert items.
The unconventional dish (above, left to right) consists of panna cotta, biscuits, brioche and more - all cleverly manipulated to resemble a good old fry-up.
Dublin-based Vicky first came up with the idea by serving panna cotta.
"I often make panna cotta and serve it with lemon curd. The two together always remind me of a fried egg, so I started off making this and then experimented with the rest of the food items," she explained.
The process was not entirely hassle-free, however, with one attempt to deep-fry a marshmallow as a hash brown ending in "a spectacularly gooey mess."
See more about Vicky and her recipes on her blog, S'Tasty. In the meantime, see how exactly she composed her "sweetie" breakfast, below:

DESSERT BREAKFAST - THE INGREDIENTS

Bacon - Brandy snaps
Eggs - Panna Cotta with lemon curd
Black pudding - Dark chocolate biscuit
Hash browns - Brioche
Baked beans - Small biscuits coated in white chocolate with an orange and strawberry coulis
